International Experience

I came from Bangladesh to the U.S. in 2023 and initially lived in New York with my family while continuing my studies. Adjusting to a new culture and environment was a challenge, but it helped me grow and adapt. In Fall 2024, I transferred to UNI, which quickly became my new home. The welcoming staff and students made me feel like a part of a family, and now I take pride in helping other international students navigate their own journeys at UNI.

Why do you enjoy working with International Students?

Working with international students is a great way to learn about and respect different cultures while also adapting aspects of them into my own experiences. Every culture brings unique traditions, celebrations, and perspectives, making every interaction an opportunity to grow and connect. On the other hand, as an international student myself, I understand the challenges of adjusting to a new environment. I can relate to the needs and struggles of new international students, and I enjoy being a part of their journey, helping them feel welcomed and supported at UNI.
