“I was extremely happy when I found out that we were going to spend the day on an acreage. I couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning and put on my best clothes, even though I was expecting something quite simple. On the way, everything was so green and beautiful, which surprised me. After a 20-minute drive from our campus, we arrived at the acreage, and there I was, living the dream.

Everything I love in a place was there – amazing friends, various activities to engage in, and, of course, delicious food and ice cream. What more could I ask for? Our adventure began with trying canoeing and kayaking. Sharing this favorite activity with my friends doubled my happiness. I can’t put into words the feelings I had there, in the middle of a cornfield that had a golden hue, surrounded by all the natural colors.

believe it was this activity that truly connected all of us. We played, stayed, explored, and had fun as a team. It became the highlight of everything we did as a group. I am immensely grateful to Professor Chris for providing this opportunity for all international students to feel at home.“
