The CIEP provides affordable tuition for international students and local students to study English. Students can attend three hours of lecture and one hour of study in the lab, online or in-person. Students can use all the services, such as the library, labs, the health clinic, WRC, etc.

Fees for short-term programs or for those who arrive midway through the semester may vary. The cost will vary based on the style of on-campus housing you are in. The fees are listed below:

Those are not always a required mandatory fee, and therefore may not be included in the overall tuition cost.

Scholarship Opportunity
- Iowa Sister State Scholarship
A renewable and automatic scholarship that supports new incoming international students from Iowa's nine officially designated sister states:
- Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan
- Yucatan, Mexico
- Hebei Province, China
- Terengganu, Malaysia
- Stavropol Krai, Russia
- Taiwan
- Cherkasy Oblast, Ukraine
- Veneto Region, Italy
- Kosovo.
Available to individuals interested in studying English at UNI as a non-degree or degree-seeking student. Students can receive a 50% tuition scholarship.
- Conditional Admitted Student
Students who are conditionally admitted to UNI will receive a 20% tuition scholarship
If the student comes from our partner institute, they will receive a 50% tuition scholarship
- Partner Institute
A 20% scholarship will typically be offered to students involved with our partner institutions and universities. Many of our immersion program students receive this scholarship.
