CIEP Fall Orientation
Welcome New Global Panthers!
International Student Orientation is designed to assist you with your transition to life in the United States and at the University of Northern Iowa. Orientation provides a welcoming and exciting environment to make connections with new students, current students, as well as faculty and staff.
What you need to know
International Cultural & Intensive English Program (CIEP) Orientation for Fall 1 2024:
- Arrival Date: August 17-18
- Placement Test: August 19
- Orientation: August 19-23
- Classes begin: August 27

- Arrival Date: October 17-18
- Placement Test: October 21
- Orientation: October 21
- Classes begin: October 23
Please complete the arrival form to register for Orientation and to let us know when you are coming. Connect with other new students, current students, and staff, and learn more about what's happening on campus and the Office of International Engagement (OIE).
