Visiting Scholars Form

This form must be filled out by the visiting scholar. First the UNI Department host will complete a Host Registry Form. After submittal the visiting scholar will be contacted and asked to complete the Visiting Scholar Form below. This provides the Office of International Engagement information to prepare for the scholars arrival along with verifying all necessary documents are in order.

Introduction
Every International Visiting Scholar must be entered in the UNI International Visitor Registry. Please complete this form to the best of your ability.  If you have any questions your can reach out to the Office of International Engagement at international@uni.edu.

Basic Information
Arrival Information
The University of Northern Iowa has one bedroom efficiency apartments located on the west side of campus that can be used by single adults or two person couples. These apartments offer a private bedroom (queen size bed), bathroom, closet space, and a combined a living room, dining and kitchenette area.  Each apartment is fully furnished with bedding, towels, pots, pans, dishes, silverware and basic furniture.  Monthly rent includes all utilities, cable television, internet and laundry.  Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. 
Detailed Information
Photo Submission Requirements: 
  • Current, high-resolution, color photo with a neutral, smooth background and proper lighting. 
  • Head and shoulders should be clearly visible. Leave some space around the side of face and above head (UNI will crop photos if needed). 
  • Full front-facing image with eyes open and visible. Adjust hair and clothing so that entire face is showing. 
  • Prescription glasses are okay if worn regularly (no glare). Do not wear dark glasses, hats or large/wide headbands. 
  • No selfies, photo filters or photoshopped images. 
  • Photos should not include other people or animals – no group photos. 
  • Smiles are welcome!
